United Way’s 16th annual Days of Caring took place on Saturday, September 15, 2007 and Wednesday, September 19, 2007. This year, United Way emphasized building bridges between corporate and community groups by increasing the number of community volunteers involved in Days of Caring. By developing innovative and valuable service projects, your organization helped United Way to strengthen the value of volunteerism for both corporate and community volunteers while taking advantage of this wonderful volunteer power.

During the 2009-10 United Way of Greater Houston Campaign Kickoff, attendees rose to their feet and joined the Abundant Life Cathedral Choir and The Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir in a moving rendition of “We’ll Be There.” The group formed one of the largest community choirs in the world, sending the message, loud and clear, that United Way will be here for our community.
